At the end of January, a meeting was convened between the Diplomatic Clubs of Primakov School and Heritage School in India. The agenda was the continued development of Indo-Russian diplomatic understanding and cultural awareness. During the exchange all participants joined together to mark and celebrate Indian Republic Day. The significance of this day was explained by our Indian counterparts. In turn Primakov students drew comparisons with significant days in the Russian Federation’s official calendar.
The content of the dialogue was further enriched by a presentation by our Primakov diplomats.
The contributions of leading figures such as Vasily Kadakin and Vyacheslav Trubnikov were discussed in the context of bilateral relation building. During our Diplomatic Club meetings we exercise and reflect upon 21st Century communication skills. On this occasion we focused on knowledge transference in a virtual meeting as well as content delivery in a second language.
Primakov Diplomatic Club leader Mr. Mikhail observed with pride that “Events like these prove that there are no obstacles in the way of public diplomacy, even in such difficult times.”
